京东从2016年开始启动“技术博士管培生项目”，群体简称DMT（Doctor Management Trainee）,秉承业务落地，人才先行的理念，培养与发展企业未来的中坚力量。过去12年，京东在互联网零售领域不断深耕，构建了一个用户体验佳、成本低、效率高的商业模式。第四次零售革命来临之际，京东迎来了全新的科技十二年，尤其是建立在大数据基础上的人工智能技术，将会成为驱动京东发展的主要力量，而京东也将通过自身的研发与实践推动人工智能革新应用。

Data Mining Scientist

Responsibilities:

1. Developing next generation data mining solutions to solve real world problems
2. Manipulating and analyzing large volumes of data to identify key problems, build prototypes and devise solutions;
3. Initiating and proposing data mining projects, developing innovative algorithms and technologies in scalable, product-ready code, pursuing patents where appropriate;
4. Working closely with our development team to ensure smooth integration of the algorithms into our product
5. Maintaining world-class academic credentials through publications, presentations and collaborations with the research community.

Qualifications:
1. Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Statistics, or related field
2. Extensive experience with data mining, machine learning, statistical analysis and underlying algorithms
3. Excellent academic publications of proposing, conducting and presenting results from original research in top conferences
4. Proficient in one of the languages like C++/Java/Python
5. Knowledge of data processing on Hadoop programming environments (e.g. Hive/Pig/Spark)
6. Strong written and oral communication skills

Speech Recognition Scientist

Qualifications:

1. Ph.D.degree in computer science, electrical engineering, math, statistics, or related field.

2. Ability to communicate/collaborate with other researchers/engineers.
3. Experience building and tuning large vocabulary speech recognition systems. Ability to implement experiments using scripting languages (Python, Perl, bash) and tools written in C/C++.
4. Experience working with standard speech recognition toolkits (such as Kaldi, Attila, HTK, Sphinx, SRILM, OpenFST, etc.) and deep learning frameworks (Tensorflow, Pytorch, Torch, Mxnet, CNTK, etc.).
5. Publication record in top speech conferences/journals is a plus.

Operation Research Scientist

Responsibilities:

1. Design, develop and deliver models for operational problems using modeling tools. Apply mathematical programming knowledge to design and provide decision support tools and software.
2. Apply advanced data mining and optimization techniques to solve complex business problems including pricing, inventory, logistics, supply chain management, scheduling, etc. Utilizing code (Python, R, Java, C++ or another object oriented language) for modeling (optimization, simulation, statistical) and developing proof-of-concepts.
3. Perform quantitative, economic, and numerical analysis of the performance of these systems under uncertainty using statistical and optimization tools such as Python and R to find both exact and heuristic solution strategies for optimization problems.
4. Closely collaborate with other departments, integrate optimization algorithms with other deliverables into larger business solutions.
5. Explain complex models and analysis using simplified terms, report and present to decision makers.

Qualifications:

1. Ph.D. degree in Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, Industrial Engineering, Decision Science, Theoretical Computer Science, or other related scientific disciplines.
2. Experience implementing models through modelling languages. Professional experience in both academic and industrial settings is a plus. Experience applying optimization models for strategic and tactical business decisions is a plus.
3. Demonstrated software development skills in a collaborative team environment, experience with programming in Python, R, Java, C/C++, or a similar language a plus. Exposure to scripting languages, relational databases and Linux.
4. Experience with manipulating complex data sources and very large-scale data, Familiarity with technical tools for analysis - Python (with Pandas, etc.), R, SQL. Python skills and previous software engineering background a plus.
5. Good communication skills with both technical and business people. Ability to speak at a level appropriate for the audience.

Machine Learning Scientist

Responsibilities:

1. Work with business, engineering and product teams to form an understanding of the requirements and processes of existing systems. Create deep learning and machine learning algorithms that can be applied to address business needs and provide business insights.
2. Apply advanced machine learning / deep learning techniques to form a deep understandings of customer behavior and products. Create decision-support and decision-making systems based on such learning results to improve business efficiency.
3. Participate in cutting-edge research in artificial intelligence and machine learning algorithms and applications.
4. Define and drive a technical vision and strategies to integrate machine learning algorithms into the existing production system and business decision making processes.

Qualifications:

1. Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Operational Research, Statistics or related field.
2. Hands-on experience applying machine learning techniques to solve real-world problems.
3. Experience with a deep learning framework such as TensorFlow or Caffe.
4. Experience with a big data platform such as Hadoop and Spark.
5. Experience with scripting languages such as Python or R.
6. Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Computer Vision Scientist

Responsibilities:

Research cutting-edge technologies in deep learning, and develop algorithms and models to solve real and complex computer vision problems. You will mainly be responsible for one or more of the following areas:
1. Research, design and implement advanced algorithms for computer vision applications
2. Prototype innovative deep learning networks and models for multi-task problems, including object detection, object recognition, landmark detection, and more
3. Research and develop deep compression and optimization for mobile devices
4. Research cutting-edge technologies, such as GAN, Visual QA, image captioning, dense captioning, face landmark localization, deep SLAM, and others.

Qualifications:

1. PhD in Computer Science or related disciplines
2. Expertise in AI, machine learning, deep learning and computer vision technologies and applications
3. Experience with OpenCV, Python and Matlab image processing packages
4. Experience in projects involving visual object detection and recognition, image segmentation, image classification, visual search, 3D vision and AR
5. Experience with neural network families, such as CNN, RNN and LSTM, or GAN
6. Experience with software engineering tools and Linux (e.g., Git, CMake, CI, and gdb)
7. Knowledge of parallel computing, CUDA, OpenCL is a plus
8. Experience in developing mobile applications is a plus
9. Publication in leading conferences, such as CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, and NIPS is highly valued

Natural Language Processing Scientist

Responsibilities:

1. Participate in cutting edge research in machine intelligence and machine learning applications.
2. Conduct research and experiments to develop or improve deep learning models for Natural Language Understanding.
3. Implement prototypes to test new ideas and algorithms.
4. Analyze and improve performance of existing algorithms.
5. Publish papers in renowned journals and conferences.
6. Transfer knowledge to teams productizing research ideas.

Qualifications:

1. PhD degree in Computer Science, related Machine Learning field or equivalent practical experience.
2. Experience in any of the following: dialogue system, question answering, social media data emotion analysis, and natural language generation etc.
3. Experience with AI/NLP/ML publication, contributing to research communities and/or efforts, including publications at conferences, e.g. ACL, EMNLP, COLING, NIPS, NAACL, SIGIR, ICML etc.

Information Retrieval Scientist

Responsibilities:

1. User preference mining from massive data with machine learning algorithms.
2. Leverage machine learning algorithms to solve search relevance, user behavior modeling, predictions, recommendations, and other R&D problems in e-commerce platforms.Leverage machine learning algorithms to solve relevance, precise targeting, CTR prediction, personalized recommendations, and other problems in e-commerce industry.
3. Build user profiles, product knowledge graph and other applications in the recommendation system to improve the accuracy and diversity in recommendations, increase user stickiness, and enhance user values.

Qualifications:

1. PhD degree in Computer Science, related recommendation field or equivalent practical experience.
2. Familiar with at least one of the programming language including C++, Python, and Java. Strong programming skills, relevant experience in multiple programming languages is preferred.
3. Familiar with common machine learning algorithms; able to understand and optimize main stream recommendation algorithms.
4. Experience in productionized recommendation system development is preferred.
5. Teamwork and good communication skill.
